The next meeting of the Digital Single Market Group will take place on Monday 12th October from 10.00 to 12.00 hours in London, chaired by Malcolm Harbour CBE (former MEP and Chair of the Internal Market and Consumer Affairs Committee – IMCO).
The main purpose of the meeting is hear members’ views and decide on how we should approach and respond to the European Commission’s consultation on the regulatory environment for platforms, online intermediaries, data and cloud computing and the collaborative economy, officially released on 24th September.
The meeting will also focus on recent political developments, including the key issues of data protection, data location and the free flow of data, skills to support the DSM and international competitiveness. A report from the recent European Internet Forum study visit of MEPS to London will also be presented.

All DPA members & registered observers are invited, but room capacity is limited and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. An agenda and venue details will be sent to registrants in due course.
