Date(s) - 14/03/2016
11:00 - 13:00
The next meeting of the Digital Single Market Group will take place on Monday 14th March 2016 from 1100 to 1300 hours in London, chaired by Malcolm Harbour CBE (former MEP and Chair of the Internal Market and Consumer Affairs Committee – IMCO).
The main purpose of the meeting is to review a draft paper emanating from the meeting held on 8th February. The paper, which will be presented to commissioners including the Ansip team, proposes recommendations on aspects of cloud computing, including its importance to the digital economy (where mobility, growth and innovation are key business benefits), the role of regulation (where the approach should be to encourage the dynamic and evolving cloud computing sector) and the need for appropriate definition (it is important to recognise that not all cloud services are the same).
Please email [email protected] if you wish to attend and/or participate in the new working groups (on data location, platforms and skills). All DPA members & registered observers are invited, but room capacity is limited and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. An agenda and venue details will be sent to registrants in due course.
This meeting is for DPA members and registered observers only. If you are interested in becoming a member we would welcome your attendance as a taster, but before any further participation, you would then need to join us. More details are available at: https://dpalliance.org.uk/join-us/.
