21ST CENTURY SKILLS GROUP
ACCESS TO CAREERS MATERIALS, WORK PLACEMENTS AND APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITIES VIA THE GRIDS FOR LEARNING
Monday 7 November 2016
10.30 – 12.00
The Grids for Learning provide content, advice and guidance, as well as broadband links, to almost all schools in the country. As yet they do not routinely provide access to careers advice and guidance but there appears to be no reason why not. Meanwhile there are many exercises to try to create careers portals.
The objective of this meeting is to bring together some of those actively engaged in providing careers guidance, providing work placement opportunities or recruiting apprentices to discuss the practicality of piloting use of the grids to mutual advantage.
This meeting is not for passengers/observers. The intention is to move rapidly towards agreeing an action plan organised and funded by the participants – although this may include proposals to work with others.
If you would like an invitation please e-mail [email protected] saying what you would expect to bring to the table (e.g. careers materials, work placement or apprenticeship opportunities and/or budgets).
